Bee the change
Instead of spreading doom and gloom on the state of the natural environment I want to spread some positivity and show that anything is possible. Change is possible. Just check this article in the Guardian out Read me In a nutshell, the German state Bavaria, is passing a 'Save the bees' law that promises to drastically change farming practices. 1.75 million people signed a petition to have this passed. Talking about people power! Our planet is under immense pressure to grow crops, rear livestock to support our growing population. This puts huge pressure on our land and water supply. So, understandably farmers have to increase productivity often resulting in habitat loss, use of pesticides etc. However, this way of farming isn't sustainable. It's causing huge global declines in biodiversity and damaging effects on our ecosystems. And we need biodiversity. We need our ecosystems. Ecosystems keep our planet functioning and supports us. Without it, we cannot grow
